Description

From a simple beginning as a personal research project to an important role in the operating systems on a wide range of computer systems, UNIX has a lot of impact. The strength of UNIX is its portability across multiple vendor hardware platforms, vendor independent networking, and the strength of its application programming interface.

Today there are a number of commercial versions of UNIX. IBM has one called AIX. Hewlett-Packard has HP-UX. Sun Microsystems has Solaris. There are also versions that are available for free and whose code base stems partly or wholly from sources other than the original AT&T code. There is Linux. And there is FreeBSD.

Clear Blue's list of Dutch UNIX users comes with the named most senior IT executive (IT Director or equivalent) as standard; the list is suitable for both direct mail and telemarketing purposes, particularly for those companies who have something to offer to the UNIX marketplace in the Netherlands, directly or indirectly. Well targeted, the list can prove extremely responsive.

Data structure

The following fields are supplied, as standard, for each record: Named most senior IT executive (IT Director or equivalent), company name, full company address including postcodes verified to Dutch national standard, (telephone number), salutation.

Output formats

Data is supplied as an ASCII comma-delimited text (.txt) file, on floppy-disk, CD-Rom or via e-mail. The comma-delimited text format is the default format for the despatch of our lists, as it is suitable for import into any spreadsheet, database or contact management software, as well as mail-merge; however, if you would prefer to receive your list in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access format, you will be able to note this in the "Comments" box, when you place your order.

Delivery

Data is dispatched on floppy disk, CD-ROM or via e-mail; where we send you our list by e-mail, this is usually done the same day the order is placed; otherwise, please allow 1-2 working days from receipt of order.

Disks/CD-ROMs as well as labels are sent by first class, recorded mail.
