Description

This is a list of individuals who have invested in investment trust because they wish to spread their investment risk.  These individuals are experienced investors and new names are constantly being added.  Customer Profiling shows that most people are from the higher socio-economic groups, predominantly male, 35 years or older, and in the higher income brackets.

Investment trusts are companies that invest in the shares of other companies.  They pool investors' money and employ a professional fund manager to invest in the shares of a wider range of companies than most people could practically invest in themselves. This way even people with small amounts of money can gain exposure to a diversified and professionally run portfolio of shares, spreading the risk of stockmarket investment. There are over 300 investment trusts responsible for the management of billions of pounds' worth of assets on behalf of investors.

Most investment trusts have low internal charges. Because the boards are independant of managers, they work to ensure that 'costs' or the funds' internal charges are not excessive and that the interests of shareholders are looked after.

Data is 100% postcoded and cleaned against the MPS file; new names are being added daily.

Accuracy

All names were contacted within the last 6 months; individuals who no longer invest in investment trusts are automatically removed from the database.

Selections

Data can be selected by sex, age, and geography; if you purchase either one of the 5 test quantities above, we supply a selection of the most recently added names, irrespective of sex, age, and geography.

The following fields are supplied, as standard, for each record: Name, full address including PAF verified postcodes, salutation.

Output formats

Data is supplied as an ASCII comma-delimited text (.txt) file, on CD-Rom or via e-mail. The comma-delimited text format is the default format for the despatch of our lists, as it is suitable for import into any spreadsheet, database or contact management software, as well as mail-merge; however, if you would prefer to receive your list in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access format, you will be able to note this in the "Comments" box, when you place your order.

Delivery

Data is dispatched on CD-ROM or via e-mail and also labels (if required), as specified in our online shop; where we send you our list by e-mail, this is usually done the same day the order is placed; otherwise, please allow 1-2 working days from receipt of order.

CD-ROMs as well as labels are sent by first class, recorded mail.
